Washer-extractor and tumble-dryer repair for hotels, healthcare, laundromats, fire departments and on-premise laundries. Same-day service in most of our territory, emergency dispatch when a machine is down.
☎ Call (732) 681-0500 Request ServiceWhen a commercial washer or dryer goes down, every hour costs you labor, throughput and turnaround. HM Commercial Laundry has repaired commercial laundry equipment for 37+ years across 300+ facilities in New Jersey and the tri-state. We are the authorized UniMac dealer and warranty servicer for this territory, and an independent repair company for every other major brand — the same technicians, the same trucks, the same OEM-parts standard.
We work on the two machines every laundry depends on: commercial washer-extractors and commercial tumble dryers, hardmount and softmount, gas and electric, on-premise and vended. We do not service tunnel washers, presses, ironers or finishing equipment.
No matter who made it or where you bought it, we can fix it. Brand pages cover the models, controls and failures we see most:
OPL washer-extractors, tumble dryers & vended machines — Quantum controls.
On-premise washers & dryers — Galaxy / Command controls. Repair and parts only.
Heavy-duty washer-extractors for hospital and institutional laundries.
OPL washer-extractors, tumblers & vended machines — DexterLive controls.
Commercial tumble dryers — Phase 7 controls.
Washer-extractors & dryers — Inteli controls.
Authorized UniMac sales, warranty and service. Also Wascomat / Electrolux Professional, Maytag & Whirlpool commercial, IPSO, B&C and others.
When operators say "repair" they usually mean one of three things, each with its own response and pricing. Knowing which you need is the first step to not overpaying.
The urgent call: a washer locked out on an error code, water on the floor, a dryer heating but not tumbling, a door lock that won't release. We respond same-day across most of New Jersey and dispatch to NYC, Rockland County, eastern Pennsylvania and northern Delaware. The truck carries the parts behind most field failures — door locks, level switches, drive belts, motor contactors, heater elements, drain valves — so the majority of repairs finish in one visit.
The structured service that prevents the urgent calls. On a cadence you set (quarterly for high-volume rooms, semi-annually for moderate volume) a technician inspects belt tension, bearing condition, seals, electrical connections, motor amp draw, sensor calibration, drain and inlet pressures, and the controller fault log, and documents all of it for your compliance file. Details on our Preventative Maintenance Programs page.
On machines past 12 years, full replacement isn't always the right call. A bearing swap, motor brush replacement or controller reflash can buy another three to five years at a fraction of the cost of new equipment. We'll tell you honestly whether a repair makes economic sense or whether it's time to plan a replacement — and if it is, size the room before you shop.
The first hour covers travel and on-site diagnosis. If a repair will run beyond that, you get the parts cost, labor estimate and expected downtime up front — no surprises on the invoice.
Every truck stocks the parts behind roughly 80% of field repairs on the brands we see most: door locks, drive belts, level pressure switches, motor contactors, heater elements, drain valves and solenoids, water inlet valves, common gaskets and a basic chemical-injector kit. Less common UniMac parts ship next business day from Alliance distribution to our Jackson, NJ shop; other brands' OEM parts come through their regional distributors. See parts & supply.
Two minutes at the machine saves a return trip. When you call (732) 681-0500, have this handy:
Healthcare and long-term care, hotels and hospitality, fire departments (PPE), laundromats and multi-housing laundry rooms, and on-premise laundries of every size.
We dispatch from Jackson, NJ and cover all 21 New Jersey counties, the five boroughs of New York City, Rockland County, NY, the Philadelphia area and eastern Pennsylvania, and northern Delaware. Every major brand: UniMac, Speed Queen, Huebsch, Milnor, Dexter, ADC / American Dryer, Primus, Continental Girbau, Wascomat / Electrolux Professional, IPSO, B&C, Maytag and Whirlpool commercial, and others. We are an authorized UniMac dealer and warranty servicer; for every other brand we are an independent service company using OEM parts.
The first hour ($295 in New Jersey, $395 outside New Jersey) covers travel and on-site diagnosis. If the repair will run beyond that, you get the parts cost, labor estimate and expected downtime up front before we continue.
If a part has to be ordered, we quote the lead time and parts cost up front. Most uncommon UniMac parts arrive next business day from Alliance distribution; other brands' OEM parts ship through their regional distributors. We never charge a second first-hour fee on a follow-up visit for the same repair.
Yes for UniMac — we are an authorized UniMac warranty service provider and coordinate parts and labor coverage directly with Alliance. For other brands we are independent; we will work with you and the manufacturer to facilitate warranty coverage where it applies.
Scheduled inspections (typically quarterly or semi-annually), lubrication, belt and hose replacement on a wear schedule, motor and electrical checks, calibration of temperature and level sensors, a controller fault-log review, and a documented maintenance log for compliance audits. PM customers see roughly half the unscheduled downtime of facilities that wait for failures.
