Commercial. Although the form factor is similar to high-end residential equipment, these are commercial-grade UniMac machines built for the duty cycles of amenity laundries, small OPLs, fire stations, and small hospitality operations. They are sold for commercial use only — not for residential homes.
Small chassis is the right choice when daily volume is low (under 100 lb/day), floor space is constrained, or you have only 120V/single-phase electrical service (no commercial 3-phase). Common applications: hotel amenity rooms for staff laundry, single fire stations, ambulatory surgical centers, smaller medical offices, vacation rental properties, small gyms and spas.
No — that's the whole point of the small chassis line. All small chassis machines run on standard 120V or 208-240V single-phase service. Front-load washer, top-load washer, gas dryer, and gas stacked units all use 120V; electric dryers and electric stacked units use 208-240V (single-phase).
Electronic controls offer programmable cycles, multiple wash temperatures, programmable supply injection, and digital cycle status display. E-Mech (Push-To-Start) is a simpler push-button interface — fewer programmable options but extremely simple to train operators on and very low maintenance. Pick Electronic when operators need flexibility; pick E-Mech when simplicity and operator turnover make a touchscreen overkill.
Gas (natural gas) is typically the more economical operating choice if your facility has commercial gas service. Electric requires 208-240V dedicated circuits but works anywhere there's electric service. Use gas in facilities with existing gas hookups; use electric in locations without gas access or where electric is required for code reasons.
Stacked saves floor space — washer and dryer in a single vertical tower. If floor space is tight (laundry closet, small back-of-house room), stacked is the right answer. If you have space and might want to run wash + dry simultaneously on different schedules, separate units give you more operational flexibility.
No. Prices shown are for the equipment only. Freight and installation are quoted separately based on your facility location, drain access, gas/electric/water connections, and dryer exhaust ducting. Call (732) 681-0500 for a complete delivered-and-installed quote.
Small chassis equipment typically ships in 2-6 weeks from Alliance Laundry Systems — faster than large chassis because they're produced in larger volumes. We confirm current lead time at quote.
Yes. HM Commercial Laundry is the authorized warranty service provider for UniMac small chassis equipment across NJ, eastern PA, NYC, and Delaware. Many small operators bundle a Preventative Maintenance contract to extend equipment life.
Absolutely. Many facilities have a primary large-chassis OPL plus small chassis units in secondary locations (executive housekeeping closet, employee laundry, fire station bunkroom). We can quote and install a mixed fleet from one source.
