The Fire configuration (SKU position 10 = G) is engineered specifically for NFPA 1851-compliant turnout gear cleaning. Temperature Control Fill is standard — critical because NFPA 1851 limits wash water temperature to 105°F to protect outer shell materials, moisture barriers, and reflective trim.

Custom Fire Industry Cycles come standard on the Fire SKUs, with cycle parameters configured for the mechanical action, dwell time, and chemistry compatibility that turnout gear cleaning requires. 100-G extract is gentle on the protective fabric layers.

Are these washer-extractors for residential use?

No. UniMac UCT washer-extractors are commercial-grade equipment built for institutional and commercial laundry operations. They are sold for commercial use only and are not suitable for residential homes.

What is the difference between Cabinet Hardmount (UCT) and Pocket Hardmount (UWT)?

UCT is UniMac's lighter-volume cabinet-style hardmount line — smaller footprint, simpler M9 control, lower capacity range (20-80 lb), and 5-year frame warranty. UWT is the institutional pocket hardmount line — larger range (45-200 lb), UniLinc Touch or M30 controls, OPTispray, and 10-year frame warranty. UCT is the right answer when you need quality at a smaller capacity and budget; UWT is right when you need higher capacity and institutional-grade features.

What is UAT Value Line and how is it different from UCT?

UAT Value Line is UniMac's budget tier in the cabinet hardmount category — available in 30, 40, and 55 lb capacities. It uses the simpler 6 Cycle Basic Button Control (vs UCT's M9 Control with 9 programmable cycles) and has anthracite gray panels (vs UCT's stainless steel). UAT still delivers 200 G-Force extract, stainless steel cylinder, and UniMac reliability — just at a lower price point with simpler operator controls. UAT is the right answer when you need quality at the lowest price and don't need programmable cycle depth. Note: UAT does not offer the Fire configuration (NFPA 1851 cycles) — for fire department applications, choose the UCT Fire configuration instead.

What is the 'Fire' configuration (Package 3)?

The Fire configuration (SKU position 10 = G) is purpose-built for fire department turnout-gear cleaning. It comes with Temperature Control Fill standard and Custom Fire Industry Cycles configurable for NFPA 1851-compliant cleaning. The G-Force is 100G (gentler on protective fabrics). Available in UCT030 through UCT080.

What is the difference between 200-G and 100-G extract?

G-force at extract directly affects how much water is removed before drying — higher G means less water remaining, shorter dry times, lower drying utility costs. 200G is the standard institutional option. 100G is gentler on delicate textiles (such as fire turnout gear) and is the right answer when fabric care matters more than minimum dry time.

Which voltage do I need — X, B, or N?

X (200-240V / 1-3 phase) is the most common option for commercial buildings. B (120V / 1-phase) is a unique UCT option for facilities without commercial 200V+ service — typically only available on UCT020/030/040. N (440-480V / 3-phase) is for facilities with 480V three-phase. What warranty comes with a UniMac UCT cabinet hardmount?

Every UCT machine includes a 3-year limited parts warranty, plus a 5-year limited warranty on the frame and cylinder shaft assembly, and a 5-year limited warranty on seals and bearings. HM Commercial Laundry is the authorized warranty service provider for NJ, eastern PA, NYC, and Delaware.

Are these machines NFPA 1851 compliant for fire department turnout gear?

The Fire configuration (Package 3, SKUs ending in ...G... at position 10) includes Custom Fire Industry Cycles standard, configurable for NFPA 1851-compliant turnout gear cleaning. The 200-G and 100-G base packages can have fire cycles added through Field Service as an aftermarket software update.
