What's Different About Huebsch

Huebsch commercial washers and dryers are workhorses in New Jersey on-premise laundries and laundromats, and they are on our trucks' work orders every week. HM Commercial Laundry repairs them as an independent service company — we are not a Huebsch dealer and do not sell new Huebsch equipment; we fix the machines already in your building, with OEM Huebsch parts.

This guide covers Huebsch soft-mount and rigid-mount washer-extractors, single and stacked tumble dryers, and the Galaxy and Huebsch Command control systems. It walks through the failure symptoms we get called about most, what an operator can safely check before picking up the phone, and the point where troubleshooting should stop and a technician should take over. HM Commercial Laundry repairs Huebsch equipment as an independent service company across New Jersey, New York City, Rockland County and eastern Pennsylvania.

Huebsch machines share a lot of engineering with their Alliance siblings, which is good news for parts availability. Two things to know when troubleshooting: soft-mount washer-extractors ride on springs and dampers, so a machine that "walks" or shakes on extract after years of quiet service usually has a tired damper, not a bad motor; and the Galaxy and Command controls will refuse to start a cycle for reasons that have nothing to do with the mechanism — a door not fully latched, an unpaid vend, a programming lockout. Read the display before you open a panel.

Safety first: Never bypass a door lock or lint-panel interlock, never open electrical panels with the machine energized, and never work on gas connections yourself. If a check below isn't something you can do from the outside of the machine, leave it for us — call (732) 681-0500.

A Note on Huebsch Error Codes

Galaxy and Huebsch Command controls use different code sets, and the meaning of a code depends on the control version and machine configuration. Rather than publish a code table that may not match your control, we keep this guide symptom-based. If your machine is showing a code, write it down exactly as displayed along with the model number, then call us at (732) 681-0500. We'll tell you what it means on your machine and whether it's worth a service call.

Huebsch Washer Won't Start

A Huebsch washer that is completely dead, or powers up but won't begin a cycle, usually comes down to power, the door, or the start circuit.

When it's beyond the operator: if power, door and start circuit all check out, the usual culprits are the door lock assembly, a start relay, or the control board. Those are diagnose-with-a-meter repairs; a control board is one of the most expensive parts on the machine, so don't guess-and-swap.

Huebsch Washer Won't Fill

The machine starts, the cycle runs, but little or no water enters the drum, or the fill takes so long the control times out.

When it's beyond the operator: failed water inlet valves, a bad level sensor or pressure switch, or a drain valve that won't seat. All single-visit repairs with the part on the truck.

Huebsch Washer Won't Spin or Extract

The wash runs but the drum never gets up to extract speed, or the control aborts the spin and leaves the linen soaking wet.

When it's beyond the operator: drive belts, motor or drive faults, bearings, and balance sensors are all technician work. Don't keep running a machine that grinds on spin; the bearing repair gets far more expensive once the seal lets water into it.

Huebsch Washer Won't Drain

Water is left standing in the drum at the end of the cycle, or the machine won't advance past the drain step.

When it's beyond the operator: a failed drain valve, a dead drain pump, or a control that isn't energizing either. We carry drain valves for the common models on the truck.

Huebsch Dryer Not Heating

The drum turns, the cycle runs, but the air stays cool, or the dryer heats for a while and then goes cold.

When it's beyond the operator: igniters, flame sensors, gas valves, heater elements, safety thermostats and airflow sensors. These are the parts we stock for the dryers we see most, so most no-heat calls are one visit.

Maintenance That Prevents Most of These Calls

Most Huebsch service calls in on-premise laundries and vended laundry rooms trace back to the same handful of neglected items:

If you'd rather not track any of that, our preventive maintenance programs put your Huebsch equipment, and everything else on the laundry floor, on a scheduled inspection cycle with priority dispatch when something slips through.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can an independent service company repair Huebsch commercial machines?

Yes. Huebsch commercial equipment can be serviced by any qualified commercial laundry technician. HM Commercial Laundry is not a Huebsch dealer and does not sell new Huebsch equipment; we repair Huebsch machines every week across New Jersey, NYC, Rockland County and eastern Pennsylvania as an independent service company, with OEM parts.

What does the error code on my Huebsch machine mean?

Galaxy and Huebsch Command controls use different code sets, and the meaning of a code depends on the control version and machine configuration. Rather than guess from a generic table, write down the exact code and the model number and call HM Commercial Laundry at (732) 681-0500. We'll tell you what it means on your specific machine and whether it needs a visit.

Why is my Huebsch dryer running but not heating?

The most common causes are restricted airflow from lint buildup (which trips a safety thermostat), a closed or interrupted gas supply, or a failed ignition component such as the igniter, flame sensor or gas valve. On electric models, check for a tripped heater-circuit breaker. Clean the lint screen and check the exhaust first; leave gas-side and electrical repairs to a technician.

How much does Huebsch repair cost in New Jersey?

HM Commercial Laundry's New Jersey rate is $295 for the first hour, which covers travel and diagnosis, then $150 per additional hour, plus parts. Most common Huebsch repairs (door locks, inlet valves, belts, drain valves, igniters) finish in one visit because we stock the high-failure parts on the truck. Outside New Jersey the first hour is $395.

How fast can you get to a down Huebsch machine?

Same-day in most of New Jersey when you call before noon, and emergency dispatch when a down machine is stopping the operation. We also cover the five NYC boroughs, Rockland County NY, eastern Pennsylvania and northern Delaware from Jackson, NJ.
